 SEARCH ENGINES, (TOP 5 (2010)
| For the convenience of you, our visitors, we are providing links to the top 5 search engines. Actually, there have been dozens of general-purpose search engines; and there are also tens of thousands of search engines which are part of a single site and search only that site. Also, some search engine "brands" are just "front ends" for another search engine. For instance, AOL Search currently returns results via Google. It is quite a feat to rank in the top 5 of all search engines. All others not in the top 5 make up less than 10% of the total. Those search engines that reached ranks 2nd through 5th are to be commended. However, they have a long way to go to get close to Google, the king!
